She continued her education at Emory University School of Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree and completed her psychiatric residency at the Emory University System of affiliated hospitals (Emory Hospital, Grady Memorial Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta - Egleston Hospital, and Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center). Dr. Cannon is an American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Certified physician who has functioned in many roles as a psychiatrist including psychiatric consultant at Spelman College and other independent private practices and mental health clinics across the Metro-Atlanta area. Her training as well as her life experiences as a wife and mother have provided her with the compassion and tools needed to help individuals cope with significant life events.

“I am motivated to help patients who are committed to put in the work that is required to do better, feel better, and be better. Masking issues and simply writing prescriptions does not lead to transformation. I want to be a catalyst for positive and permanent change in people’s lives.”
